ALLERGY AND ASTHMA ASSOCIATES IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE
NEW CHANGES COMING
Asthma Associates is becoming part of the PRIVIA
MEDICAL GROUP. As we integrate with
the Privia Medical group, we will be upgrading our electronic records to a system
that includes a Patient Portal. This portal will allow
patients to fully engage with their demographic, financial and health
information through a secure website. With a patient portal, patients can
request appointments, get appointment reminders, view and update personal
information, request prescriptions, receive test results, read patient
education material and many other features. We will keep you informed as
new features are rolled out.Please be
aware that during our transition, the check in process may be a little slower
than usual as we convert to the new system but we will try to make this
transition as smooth as possible.During the transition
there will be some changes we would like to make you aware of:
- For the months of December and
January, ALL shot appointments will be by appointment only. There will be no walk
in hours for allergy shots in the morning.
Once the transition of entering every patient back into the system is
completed, we will go back to morning walk in hours. You can call the office on
the day of your requested appointment to see what openings are available but
please do not come in for a shot without calling first.
- At EVERY appointment, including shot
appointments, please bring your insurance card and Photo ID. It will need to be
scanned into the new system and verified.
- You will be asked to provide a
current email address and correct phone number for the patient portal and
automated reminder calls, etc. If you change email addresses or phone numbers, please
inform the front desk staff.
